Mabel’s fanny pack seems to have forgotten to bring the money so she’s making a run to get some by tapping into the Snack Force, which enables her to put any speedster relying on that plebeian Speed Force to shame.

@rainbowredwood has the best organization system for her cosplay makeup. It makes me nostalgic for the days of caboodles. I’m thinking of getting a tackle box like her’s and organizing my makeup this way too.
Tackle boxes are good for sewing supplies too. Thread, bobbins, pins, needles, buttons, etc. fit really nicely.
Some idiot: “Hey, Alex, how do you feel about pinecest?”
Alex: “never heard of her. Ship what you want. Just leave me out of it.”
Alex: ….
Alex: “Don’t ship my number mutants though!”
I tried watching the video and the guy is just cringey as shit. This little shitstain says that she “endangered the whole family by not breaking up with Gideon herself.” And that should tell younall you need to know. But in case you wanted more, his “about my channel” video says that he enjoys arguing, and he makes video essays to argue with people. so….yeah.
Sorry. But except for some points in the series that were obviously comedic and he fails to recognize that, he is right about almost everything.
Don’t get me wrong I love Mabel. But her character arc left her in a TERRIBLE place. And an actual apology would have done wonders. Instead we’re supposed to ignore that she willingly ignored the suffering of literally everyone she knew to stay in Mabeland with a fake dipper.
You’re making a lot of assumptions. Let’s say that an actual demon set up your ultimate fantasy inside your head. One so real that it’s basically heaven for you. And she had 0 interactions with the outside world, and had no idea everyone else was suffering. So the same would be true for you. Now, let’s also say that in this instance you are 12 and have no impulse control. you also missed the part where she suddenly snapped out of it and was no longer under the spell once dipper finally convinced her to leave. Suddenly she wasn’t so entranced by the place. Because_it_was_brainwashing.
Also, he says she directly caused the weirdmageddon. I’m sorry, I thought that was Bill. He disguised himself as someone Mabel could trust to know more about things, and told her he would fix it. Are we no longer blaming Bill?
Yeah, she’s kinda selfish. She’s literally 12 and her brain hasn’t finished developing. Not even close. Yeah, she should be apologizing more, but the lack of it doesn’t make her a bad person. Stan and Ford are 2 grown men who never learned to apologize.
He gets on a 12-year-old girl for teasing her brother? Seriously? That makes her a bad person? She never pushes it far enough that he cries or has a mental breakdown. They’re siblings and best friends. And by the end of the show, Dipper is a lot better at standing up for himself and teasing Mabel right back.
They spend the entire summer growing and maturing. She went off to get Unicorn hair to protect her family, and had a day-long anxiety attack to try to be a better person. And considering that unicorn hair is the only reason the Mystery Shack survived, she is also is the reason anyone survived weirdmageddon.
Follow up: I’ve met some truly awful 12-year-olds. A former friend’s younger cousin was one. He used to run up and try to punch me in the crotch. He was as dumb as a bag of hanmers and not quite as polite. So i taoed him to a metal pole and left him there. This is after asking his mother permission.
Oh yeah, and we also have no idea how long she was in there. Maybe she tried to escape for weeks without success. Maybe she didn’t. Maybe it was a slow process of whittling down her will. Could be she thought she had died and that she was in the afterlife.
I just see no reason to come down so hard on her. Like, lighten up, guys. She’s an outgoing young girl with a lot of love and a lot of personality. She fucks up. So does dipper. But the people close to her don’t seem to resent her. And Dipper, for one, doesn’t have a problem with expressing his didpleasure with people. He and Mabel fight, and not once does he bring up the flaws that the fandom seems to see in her. The standards seem to be way higher for her than for Dipper, or Soos, or Stan, an actual criminal.
I care a hell of a lot about this. Even more, I think, than I first thought. And I’d gladly defend most of the characters in GF….except Robbie. He straight up tried to hypnotize Wendy into being his girlfriend…on a cliff side, in a car. He was expecting sex. So, yeah. In conclusion, Mabel good, Robbie bad.
Yeah. I might also add that Mabel giving the rift to Blendin(bill) was an accident. she didn’t know it was bill. Bill knew he could manipulate her cause she doesn’t think logically like dipper would in the same situation. She thinks with her emotions. …And she was Vulnerable..
Plus I’ve had a sibling who teased me the same way Mabel does to dipper at the age of 12 and yeah I did feel self councious about it. But I never friggin demonized my brother for it cause I would get over it and knew well my bro wasnt abusive. Just a tad annoying. And even then I cared less about it.
Agreed, tried to watch this video but was a little too hard to make it through because I was making counter arguments for Mabel or how what she did to Dipper happened to work out in the end in his favor. Like they bring up the Time Traveler’s Pig saying that she hurts Dipper’s chance to be with Wendy, however we get no real insinuation that Dipper was going to have a romantic relationship with her if he succeeded, just a nice day with his friend. After all, she already said she knew he liked her and never intended a romance with him, so Dipper costing Mabel Waddles could be considered more selfish as he would have traded her happiness for something he didn’t really have a shot at at the time(still holding onto hope for something when he gets older). Also in ruining his pool job worked out with the fact that Wendy was fired too, so if Mabel didn’t wreck things then he would have had a job without the sole reason why he joined.
If anything, all the stuff Mabel does shows us how strong Dipper can be and how good hearted he is in the end with how he is willing to sacrifice for others, especially his sister.
Overall Mabel is still a child who always wants to be a child, while Dipper wants to grow up too quickly, there will be some discourse about their goals, especially how Dipper wanted to stay in Gravity Falls as Ford’s apprentice. I have heard many an argument saying how Ford is imposing his sibling relationship woes onto Dipper saying that he is being held back, however they both have always supported each other and come out on top. One without the other seems incomplete considering how close they are.
Well said. And the idea that somehow Dipper could have won Wendy over to being attracted to him by getting good at carnival games is absurd. Hell, HE would have been supremely selfish after seeing Mabel without Waddles for a month basically fell into a deep depression and allowed that to stand.
